For everyday rechargeable and light-industrial use, NiMH is usually the best balance: it can be recharged 500–1,000+ times, contains no toxic cadmium, performs over a wide temperature range, and is cheaper and safer to ship than lithium.
NiCd is largely obsolete because of memory effect and cadmium. Alkaline is single-use and expensive for high-drain repeat use. Lithium offers higher energy density for very compact or high-voltage packs but costs more, requires a BMS and faces stricter shipping rules. Typical packs are built from AA, AAA or Sub-C cells in 4S–20S arrangements such as 4.8V, 6V, 7.2V, 8.4V, 9.6V, 12V and 24V. Send your requirements or photos of the device and we will return a drawing, datasheet and quotation.
We supply standard sizes AAA, AA, 2/3A, 4/5AA, Sub-C, C, D and 9V plus many half-size cells, and we build custom multi-cell packs from 2.4V to 24V and higher.
AA covers roughly 400–2600mAh, AAA 300–1000mAh and Sub-C 1100–3300mAh. Common ready-made packs include 4.8V (4S), 6V (5S), 7.2V (6S), 8.4V (7S), 9.6V (8S), 12V (10S) and 24V (20S) with tabs, leads, plugs, PCM and shrink wrap.
